This collection contains scrapbooks related to the Massengale family of Atlanta, Georgia and the Massengale Advertising Agency (circa 1901-1919). One scrapbook (1901-1916), created by Alice May Messengale, contains clippings, photographs and ephemera related to the extended Massengale family and events in Atlanta society. Three scrapbooks (1914-1918), created by St. Elmo Massengale, contain clippings and letters related to his involvement in civic organizations and politics, especially related to his involvement in the campaign of Judge Nat Harris for Governor in 1914 and his time served as the secretary to the Georgia Democratic Executive Committee. Three scrapbooks (1906-1919), created by St. Elmo Massengale, contain clippings and advertisements related to the Massengale Advertising Agency.
